50th Anniversary Dinner POSTPONEMENT

The Annual Dinner scheduled for October 16, 2021 has been POSTPONED due to the continuing surge of the Covid-19 virus with the Delta variant. This change is based on the decision of the Board of Trustees at its recent meeting and on the direct confirmation today by the advice supplied by the Orange County Department of Health that stated our county is in a High Transmission area.

Virus transmission is thought to be highly likely since an annual dinner is a large group event where social eating, drinking and talking with friends will occur. When the situation improves the dinner will be rescheduled as it is a very popular society event. Hopefully, a new date can be announced soon.

The annual meeting part for the conduct of regular business that in the past routinely occurred along with the dinner has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 8, at 9 a.m. at the society headquarters in Arden. Here there is a large meeting room where ample spaced seating for correct CDC-advised distancing is possible.

The latest 50th anniversary issue of the OCHS Journal will be available shortly. As in the past, a copy will be sent to all of our faithful members as they renew their memberships. The new renewal forms will be in the mail as of November 1, 2021 for your use.

Thank you for your understanding. It has been a very difficult decision.
